Getting Approved

Eligibility Considerations

Qualifying for a rebate or discount usually depends on a few specific factors.

  • The Efficiency Rating

Programs typically require the new equipment to meet a specific SEER2 or HSPF2 rating to qualify for the discount.

  • The Utility Account

Utility programs are for the utility's customers, and NV Energy sets who qualifies for their specific incentives.

  • The Installing Contractor

Some discounts must be applied directly by an approved contractor at the time of installation.

  • Timing and Paperwork

Incentives have expiration dates and often require specific paperwork to be submitted by a set date.

  • Income-Qualified Options

Where the utility offers them, some larger incentives are based on household income guidelines.
