Replacement Signs

When to Considera New Furnace

A failing furnace warns you before it breaks completely. We offer free estimates to help you plan your next step.

  • Equipment Age

ENERGY STAR suggests it may be time to consider replacement if a gas furnace is older than 15 years.

  • Rising Gas Bills

A drop in combustion efficiency can cause older furnaces to use more fuel to heat the house.

  • Uneven Heating

Struggling to keep all rooms warm can signal a failing blower motor or an undersized unit.

  • Cracked Heat Exchanger

This is a serious safety hazard that requires replacing the component or the entire furnace.

  • Frequent Repairs

Spending money every winter to keep an old unit running can cost more in the long run.

  • Strange Odors

Lingering exhaust smells can point to a venting problem: switch the furnace off and call; if a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the home and call 911.

Heating Evaluation

Sizing Your New Heater

We inspect the house and the ductwork to ensure your new heating equipment delivers the right amount of warm air.

  • Home Layout: We check the rooms and layout, including a second story.

  • Insulation Quality: Poor insulation lets heat escape, changing the required capacity for the home.

  • Ductwork Inspection: We evaluate the ducts to ensure they can deliver the new airflow properly.

  • Venting Pathways: Gas furnaces require specific exhaust routing to operate safely in your walls.

  • Fuel Type: We review whether natural gas or an electric heat pump makes the most sense.

  • Proper Sizing: We look at the whole home and never size on square footage alone.
