Replacement Signs
When to ConsiderNew Equipment
We provide the facts on repair versus replacement so you can decide what makes sense for your budget.
Frequent Breakdowns
Multiple repairs over a few summers may signal the unit is reaching the end of its life.
Rising Energy Costs
An older system losing efficiency may draw more electricity to provide the same cooling.
Equipment Age
If your air conditioner or heat pump is older than 10 years, it may be time to consider replacement.
Uneven Cooling
Struggling to cool a two-story home evenly can indicate an undersized or failing compressor.
Expensive Part Failures
Replacing a cracked coil or blown compressor on an old unit may not be worth the investment.
Refrigerant Phase-Outs
Since January 1, 2025, new residential air conditioners and heat pumps are made for lower-impact refrigerants such as R-454B and R-32.

Whole-Home Estimate
How We Size Your AC
We evaluate the entire home before recommending a system size.
Room Layouts: We map the rooms to understand airflow needs and potential hot spots.
Insulation Levels: Attic insulation impacts how much heat enters the living space during summer.
Sun Exposure: Windows facing the intense afternoon sun require more cooling capacity.
Ductwork Condition: We check the existing ducts to ensure they can handle the new airflow demands.
Family Usage: How you prefer to cool the house guides the specific equipment selection.
Proper Sizing: We never recommend equipment sizes based on square footage alone.

Questions
Installation Answers
Facts about upgrading your cooling system.
Are estimates for new AC units free?
Yes. We provide free, written, in-home estimates for complete system replacements. Elena Navarro reviews every estimate before it reaches you.
How do you determine what size AC I need?
We look at the whole home. This includes checking room layouts, insulation, sun exposure, and ductwork condition. We never base sizing on square footage alone.
What efficiency rating does my new AC need?
New split central air conditioners installed in Nevada must meet the DOE Southwest minimum of 14.3 SEER2, plus an EER2 minimum for systems under 45,000 BTU.
Do you handle the new refrigerants?
Since January 1, 2025, new residential systems are made for lower-impact refrigerants. Every technician who handles refrigerant holds EPA Section 608 certification.
Can I finance my new air conditioner?
Financing is available for new system installations, subject to credit approval through a third-party lender. Ask us during your free estimate.
Do you clean the ducts during installation?
No, we do not offer duct cleaning. We can repair, seal, or replace damaged ductwork and balance the airflow for your new system.
